Change in the market?? - Jarrod Lawrence - 05-29-2017 Anyone else notice a change in the Nirvana collectible market lately? It seems like items are going up for sale less frequently, prices are going up on certain items, and when rare items do pop up, they sell immediately. A few years ago, there was a Nirvana flyer on eBay Buy It Now I watched for at least 6 months. It was $400. I saw one a few weeks ago listed for $700, and it sold within 30 minutes of being listed. I just checked Discogs and out of all the variations of Here She Comes Now, there are only 3 variations for sale, one being listed for $1200. Other items I used to see listed frequently on eBay I rarely ever see listed, and when I do, they don't last long. Just wondered if anyone else noticed this. I'm not sure what has happened in 2017, but the market seems much more competitive lately. RE: Change in the market?? - miguelimarques - 05-30-2017 There is a reason for all this... age. We are getting old, these items are getting old. So, less availability. On the other hand, many of us have complete sets of everything and anything. I bet with you that things will be different in 10 years time. Only a few items will stay up there (Love buzz, Pennyroyal tea, Bleach Lp Swirl). There is a big difference between the value of an item and finding someone who is willing to pay an absurd amount for it. Insane prices? Well, it all depends. A few days ago a Nevermind 4cd boxset in Mint condition sold for £10!! RE: Change in the market?? - william - 01-29-2018 There’s hardly any real good stuff on eBay anymore,it’s all the more common stuff nowadays. The last few years have seen all the good stuff dry up.....no one wants to sell. The vinyls I want most are the HSCN orange and the white/green pictured on Enrico’s discography. RE: Change in the market?? - miguelimarques - 01-30-2018 HSCN are really hard to get. On the other hand, eBay is still better than Discogs (though, this one was great in the beginning - now, it is only invaded by annoying reissues). RE: Change in the market?? - Burt Cokaïne - 01-30-2018 there is nothing left on ebay for many months RE: Change in the market?? - miguelimarques - 01-30-2018 I tend to disagree but maybe we are looking for different items.I have found interesting items on eBay in the last 12 months and none on discogs. I also use other ways to get items, including some from France ![]() Sellers sometimes think to have really rare items and ask for silly prices. A good example are Cassettes - Indian, South American, Asian editions. I would say if a deffective Bleach sells for £60, nothing should be higher than this. RE: Change in the market?? - Burt Cokaïne - 02-05-2018 mail ebay February 5, 2018 Dear seller, You have made sales on eBay .fr during the year 2017. Under Article 242 bis of the General Tax Code, online intermediation platforms, such as eBay, are required to send to all of their users an annual summary indicating in particular the number of transactions carried out and the amount total amounts collected (excluding fees and applicable fees) by these users on their sites during the previous year. I hate the French president RE: Change in the market?? - william - 02-05-2018 (02-05-2018, 12:03 PM)Burt Cokaïne Wrote: mail ebay That’s a joke. In effect, if you’ve bought some records etc on eBay through the years and decide to sell them you’re being treated as a business. RE: Change in the market?? - andypandy - 02-05-2018 Can you circumvent it by selling on eBay.com? RE: Change in the market?? - Burt Cokaïne - 02-05-2018 I sold for 14 € (17,32$) in 1 year it's a French tax |
