Re: In Utero promo tape - soundjunky - 12-11-2023 this listing is ending shortly. I was wondering if my knee-jerk reaction might align with any of you. LINK (pictures to be attached) It looks legit enough, but also looks to be artificially aged. With how few of these white printed insert tapes are out there, it seems to me that they are normally well cared for - so this level of moisture(?) degradation seems excessive. RE: Re: In Utero promo tape - cobain4pr - 12-11-2023 The tape should also have a number stamped on top of the tape. Would be nice to have a picture of the top of the tape. Sadly lately a lot of those tapes are getting faked
RE: Re: In Utero promo tape - miguelimarques - 12-22-2023 The Admin is right, but I am inclined to say that this one is original. The printing is easy to fake (Indesign skills will do the trick); on the other hand, to find a cassette shell that follows every detail of the original copy would be a HUGE task, if not impossible. As all the following are identical: the window, the write-protection notch, pressure pad, screws, etc.) Further, if you check the copies posted on sliver.it, all inserts are slightly yellowish. What I have never understood is why any of the 3 variations never appear in the market. They are so scarce, though I always thought that at least 500 copies of the presented copy were released. |
